Several technologies and solutions at the forklift truck - e. g. RFID, warehouse navigation - require a data exchange with the Warehouse Management System (WMS). In most of the cases these do not “speak the same language”. To ensure nonetheless communication the WMS has to be modified.
With the Jungheinrich Logistics Interface such modifications are not necessary or only in a limited scale. This involves specially developed middleware which is installed on the truck terminal and assumes the tasks of the “communications centre” and ensures the “translation” of the exchanged data.
